Diabetes

Nearly 18 million Americans are currently diagnosed with diabetes, according to the American Diabetes Association. However, an additional 5.7 million Americans have Type 2 diabetes — but don’t even know it.

SaveOnLabs currently offers two tests for diabetes screening for the general population. The Glucose, Serum or Fasting Plasma Glucose Test requires overnight fasting. The “newer” test called the A1C test is a simple blood test that does not require fasting and can diagnose a stage before Type 2 diabetes called pre-diabetes. We also offer a Gestational Diabetes One-hour Screen which is used to test for gestational diabetes. Talk to your doctor to determine which screening test is best for you.
